Devlog #5 - Scheduling My Work
This week has been very productive for the team as almost all of our members have been available to work on our design documents. After scheduling time to brain storm, we came up with a lot of ideas on the fly that we then sifted through to add to our project plans. For the documents, we focused a lot on scheduling work within the constraints of time, skill and interest.
For me, I went about scheduling my work based around how much of the project we have actually done and how manageable my tasks were to complete with the rest of the work I had to do for other courses. This week I prioritized researching and formatting, which led me to looking into market competitors and analyzing competing games in the visual novel / simulation genre.
With that, I made sure to update my group's Trello board in order to maintain organization and clarity with the rest of my team members. This clear and communicative workflow has helped aid in our team's productivity and ensures that none of us are ever lost as to where our progress within the project is.
For next week, I have scheduled myself tasks that apply my new found research to the project plan document.
